iX Group buys manufacturing audit company

iXGroup, owners of Medix UK, has acquired Rephine, the pharmaceutical audit and consultancy specialists.

Rephine was founded in 1998 and provides consultancy to the pharma industry and audits of pharmaceutical API suppliers and dosage form manufacturers. Rephine has developed the concept of third party audits of suppliers to the industry: "Pharmassess".

The audits are independent and use appropriate GMP standards (including ICH Q7, PS 9001, IPEC-PQG GMP and others). Audits are undertaken by highly qualified and experienced chemists who produce top quality "Pharmassess" audits that are now accepted by the industry and regulators as satisfying the requirements for quality assurance. Rephine currently has available 47 Pharmassess audits of suppliers.

iXGroup also owns Medix UK a full service market research consultancy specialising in pharmaceuticals and healthcare. Medix operates in Europe, the US and Asia, and has worked for all the major global pharma companies. It recently established an office in New York, adding to its UK operations based near Cambridge.
