New Dangerous Goods Regulations for 2011

Published date:
07/03/2011

This year is no different and as of 1st January 2011, the 52nd Edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations comes into force.

In light of these changes, consignments on/from this date should be classified, documented, packaged and labelled as outlined by this edition of the regulations.

The ADR Regulations affecting EU road consignments are also changing in line with these amendments, which are based on the UN recommendations.

This year, there are major changes to the regulations in the following areas:

      Genetically Modified Micro-Organisms

Radioactive materials classified as Excepted Package for transport

      Dangerous Goods in Limited Quantities

There are also minor changes to packaging requirements and various other areas of the regulations.

If you feel that your consignments may be affected by these changes, please contact your local Biocair representative to discuss your concerns on the numbers below.
