Olivier Bohuon takes post at Pierre Fabre
French pharma company Pierre Fabre has officially appointed Olivier Bohuon to take over from Jean-Pierre Garnier as chief executive.
Olivier’s move was first announced in July and now that he takes post at Pierre Fabre the group has also appointed him president of its laboratory business, Pierre Fabre Medicament.
Prior to joining Pierre Fabre Olivier served as executive vice-president of Abbott Corporation and was president of its pharmaceutical division.
He began his career at Roussel Uclaf, in Morocco (and later in the Middle East), subsequently serving as marketing director and then operations director of Glaxo France (1991-1995); chief executive and then president of SmithKline Beecham Laboratories (1995-2001), and then director of GlaxoSmithKline's Commercial Operations, Europe (2001-2003).
